The Canadian U19 Girls’ Team has officially arrived in Cluj, Romania, gearing up for the 2025 ITTF World Youth Championships, taking place from November 23 to 29, 2025.
With training already underway, Team Canada is focused, determined, and ready to take on the world’s best young athletes.
Only 12 teams compete in the prestigious Team Events, earning their place through global qualification and the ITTF Team Ranking. Ranked 39th in the world, Canada enters the event as the 12th seed—a remarkable achievement for a team that was not expected to qualify.
Their breakthrough victory at the Pan American Junior Championships secured their spot among the world’s top 12, marking a historic milestone for Canadian junior table tennis.
The team is led by Head Coach Raymond Zhang of Three-Ten TT Club (Ontario) and supported by TTCAN Vice President Betty Zareba, who is accompanying the athletes entirely at her own expense—a testament to her dedication to Canadian table tennis.
TTCAN proudly wishes the team great success as they step onto the world stage.
