The WTT Youth Contender Mississauga 2026 has just wrapped up, and the podiums were packed with local talent! It was a fantastic showcase of the next generation of table tennis stars from Canada and the United States.
🇨🇦 Team Canada: Dominating the Younger Categories
Canada delivered an incredible performance, particularly in the U15, U13, and U11 divisions, securing a total of 19 medals.
- Gold Medalists: Leon Vlasov (U15 Boys), Olivia Wang (U13 Girls), Aarav Garg (U11 Boys), and Diana Qiu (U11 Girls).
- The Future is Bright: With 4 Gold, 5 Silver, and 10 Bronze medals, the depth of Canadian youth talent is undeniable.
🇺🇸 Team USA: Strength in Senior Youth Divisions
The American contingent showed its prowess in the U19 and U17 categories, coming home with 10 medals.
- Gold Medalists: Sally Moyland (U19 Girls), Irene Yeoh (U19 Mixed), and the duo of Jaden Jia and Abigail Yu (U15 Mixed).
- Top Performance: The US stood out especially in the women’s singles and mixed doubles events, totaling 3 Gold, 3 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals.
